Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is an actress from Germany and Romania. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was sixteen, she had secured a number of TV roles which included the leading role in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. This film won an Oscar and won critical and commercial success. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra is well known for her participation in a variety of notable projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. The projects comprise British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as well as French historical miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she has been an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as in at the Cannes Film Festival.
